Photos by an HPVA volunteer.

Tom is a leading figure in the U.S. Human powered movement, building, riding and racing front wheel drive recumbents.

We will try to obtain some pictures of Tom's two-wheel-drive back-to-back tandems for future publication.

  • The plans offer two options for bracing the bottom bracket. This bike braces the bottom bracket to the fork crown. Another option braces the bottom bracket to the handle bar stem (this is a better way).
  • The plans offer two steering head tube angle / fork rake options. This bike uses the older option (59 degrees & 4.25" fork rake). The revised plans call for 61 degrees & 0.75" to 1" of fork rake.
